About This Place

Located in the heart of North Little Rock at 3000 Pike Ave, The Forge is an unpretentious gem that embodies the true spirit of a classic dive bar. With its modest exterior, this spot might not catch your eye immediately, but step inside and you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with friendly faces and a palpable sense of community.

The Forge offers a refreshingly straightforward experience—beer only—which keeps things simple and affordable. Patrons rave about the unbeatable prices, with 25-cent pool games and $3 beers making it a prime destination for a fun, budget-friendly night out. The vibe is nostalgic, reminiscent of a time when you could unwind without any pretense or fuss.

Beyond just a place to drink, The Forge fosters genuine connections. Customers like Mary Lanette Stinnett describe it as an “extended family,” a place where familiar faces greet you like old friends, no matter how long it's been since your last visit. Cheryl highlights both the camaraderie and the colorful local character, noting the friendly social scene—with a wink about the occasional sharp-tongued gossip that adds to its down-to-earth charm.

For those who love a bit of friendly competition, The Forge truly shines. It hosts a popular pool tournament every Saturday night with just a $7 entry fee, drawing in enthusiastic players ready to test their skills. Between matches, guests can enjoy free shuffleboard, making it more than just a bar—it’s a lively space filled with games, laughter, and spirited fellowship.

One of the most poignant compliments comes from Linda Beman, who reflects on the genuine experience of stepping back into a bar environment that feels unchanged and authentic, a refreshing rarity in today’s polished nightlife scenes. The Forge’s low-cost pool tables and welcoming, down-to-earth crowd create a nostalgic setting where friendships flourish and good times flow effortlessly.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, The Forge offers an unmatched slice of Arkansas bar culture. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just go for drinks—you go to belong, to compete, and to reminisce about the timeless joy of simple pleasures shared among friends.

Love this dive bar. Not much on the outside but friendly people on the inside. Beer only.

A great fun place with friendly people. But if you are a single lady the gossip is brutal. I am a friend to many people there. Try it out. With their quarter pool games you can lose all night for just a couple bucks. They also have shuffleboard.

Linda and I had a great time playing pool with Coolen last night. Very much so that when I say that you can somewhere still this day of age to have a bar experience like it was back 20 years ago, this is the place to be. Very reasonable pool price of just 25 cents and super down to earth environment of people that were around.

I found this bar when I lived in Little Rock 5 years. Every chance I get when I'm up that way I try my best to stop by. I haven't been in a couple of years and she still knew who I was. The best extend family you could ask for.

It just amazes me how many times I can return to the forge since I was a child and still see similarities in that building that made me smile and happy every time I go there especially knowing that the pool tables still seem to be priced very reasonable and the ladies are men or women in there always seem to be trying to have a good time and not a bad one and that's what we want and that's what North Little Rock deserves and we pray that the people that work there especially Beverly continue to bring good service to the small bar often day or night...T-Ray
